Youth Reference Group (YRG) Member

Job description:

  • The YRG is a core group of twelve young people aged 16-25 who meet every 2-3 months to help inform our work.
  • We seek to champion a diverse group of young people who represent the young people we support. This includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, people with disabilities, people in out of home care, people from multicultural backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ young people and people from regional areas*.
  • The YRG give feedback on our workshop content, social media content, resources, and at times have opportunities to help develop content for us.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting once every 2-3 months for 3 hours on an evening that suits the group.
  • Being sex- positive and comfortable discussing topics related to sexual health (no formal training is required)
  • Keeping in touch with the YRG coordinator and turning up to meetings as agreed to.
  • Giving feedback and ability to voice opinion on content.

*Please note: regional young people are able to attend online!
