Improving the SHBBV outcomes for youth service clients and improving access for young people at sexual health services

YEP can provide consultation services to the youth sector to support an organisation’s/communities’ capacity to improve the SHBBV of their young people. YEP can also provide consultations services for the sexual health sector to increase their services accessibility for young people. The consultation service broadly enables organisations to get free advice and support with targeted concerns, specifically around SHBBV target subpopulations.

What does a consultation involve?

This service is deemed to be short term, ideally offering 1 hour of support per agency. Higher levels of support will be delivered on a case-by-case basis.

The YEP Project can provide consultations online or via the phone, across Western Australia. In person consultations, can be delivered where deemed COVID safe, within a 1.5 hour drive from Perth CBD, at the YACWA office or at your premises. The YEP Project has limited capacity to provide in person services to the regions, and typically provides 2 regional engagements per annum.

What’s the cost?

The YEP Project’s short term consultation services are provided for free, thanks to our funding from the Department of Health WA to professionals in the youth and sexual health sectors. If ongoing consultation is required and/or professionals work outside of these sectors a fee for service model may be adopted.
