My name is Jordina Quain, I’m 23 and grew up on a farm outside of Albany WA. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Performance Studies), a Graduate Diploma of Sexology and am currently studying Health Promotion – what can I say, I adore the student life!
I absolutely love being an educator! I’m one of those people that feels comfortable talking about anything and everything and working with young people certainly challenges that! I wish I’d had a service like YEP when I was young because I used to be the person at school who knew nothing about sex, sexual health or relatioships – my how things change! I really enjoy being someone that young people can ask questions to or learn from, I certainly learn lots from them! I think and know that young people are juggling so many things all while trying to figure out who they are and what they want to do in life. As a peer I can really respect and empathise with what they’re going through and hopefully assist them in that journey along with my awesome team!
I’m a passionate advocate for social justice in all it’s forms and am proud to further these beliefs in my work with YEP. I volunteer and work in the LGBTIQ+ and disability sector which is certainly an honour and a joy. Hmm other things that I do…. I love sports? I currently play soccer, netball and am in a running club. I like swimming, hiking and lots of food of course. I save all my money so that I can travel and hopefully work up in rural Thailand with an organisation called Borderless Friendship Foundation. I teach sexual health for them too, it’s really most of what I do My life goal is to work globally as a sexuality and relationships educator so let’s so how I go with that pipe dream!
Anywho, that’s me. Hopefully I get to meet you someday!
Peace X
