Hey! Im Emilee.
I’m what you would call……unique?
Let’s just say that i’m an individual that’s loud, lazy and laughing all the time. It’s okay though cause I’ll make you laugh too. I’m a new volunteer for YEP and a student at Anchor Point Heathridge. I’m 16 years old and YACWA is the very first place I’m privileged to be volunteering with.
As a 16 year old, I haven’t had much experience with “the real world”, but i find that being able to be involved with YEP Project so far is what I’ve hoped for. I aspire to be a sexual health worker, to teach teen and young people about sex, all the do’s and don’ts, and generally just all the sex talk that no one else feels comfortable with talking about.
I really enjoy doing anything that will help me express my creative streak, whether it’s drawing, singing, cooking or just learning new things. Family has always been a massive part of my life and catching up with them is what I love to do most of my spare time.
After being teased numerous times and brought down by society and what I felt like I had to conform to, I decided that I wanted to do whatever I can do to help young people in every way I can. This is my opportunity to do that.
