Do you know where to draw the line?

Do you know where to draw the line?

Sometimes, there’s no argument about where to draw the line in our friendships and relationships. But the line can get blurry. So, we’re here to talk about it.

This website is for young people. Here, we talk about relationships, gender, sex, bystander action, technology and communication.

We talk about how to keep behaviours healthy and respectful, and avoid crossing the line that makes someone feel frightened, intimidated or diminished.

You can’t undo violence

You can’t undo violence. Know where to draw the line is The Line‘s latest advertising campaign. It’s message is clear: if you hurt someone, you cross the line. And if you cross the line, it can’t be undone.

The campaign highlights different types of violence. Violence isn’t just physical; controlling behaviours, sexual assault and emotional violence are all types of violence, too.

The campaign also highlights the attitudes that excuse violence or blame victims – attitudes that must be challenged because it is never ok to hurt someone. There is no excuse for violence or disrespect.

Need help?

If you have crossed the line, or think you could cross the line, you have a choice. There is information and help available to help you. It’s not too late to get help.

If you have been hurt, or think you’re at risk, there are people who can listen and services to support you.
