YEP Crew Darci Miller Interviews Greens Candidate for North Metro, Alison Xamon

Greens Candidate for the North Metro, Alison Xamon, took part today in the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia’s (YACWA) Facebook Live Election Interviews. 2017 National Youth Week Ambassador & YEP Crew Peer Educator, Darci Miller, once again did a fantastic job asking the hard questions and finding out what Ms Xamon will do for the youth sector and young people of WA if elected in the upcoming WA Elections.

Ms Xamon spoke about the importance of youth homelessness, unemployment & impossible HECS debts accrued by young people, climate change, mental health, and the need for hearing and including young people’s voices in policy decisions.

Vanessa Vlajkovic

Hi! My name is Nessa and I’m 20 years old. I’m studying Journalism at Edith Cowan University, with a Public Relations minor. I am an avid reader, writer, traveller and cheerleader. I’m also a passionate advocate for the deafblind community, and for other types of disability. I’ve been on the committee of the Youth Disability Advocacy Network (YDAN) at YACWA for a few months, and through them have developed a desire to become a YEP volunteer, as I want to expand my horizons.
