Safe Schools Coalition: Supporting Gender and Sexuality Diversity in Schools

The Safe Schools Coalition Australia is a national coalition dedicated to supporting same sex attracted, intersex and gender diverse students, staff and families. The coalition adopts a whole school community approach to create learning environments where everyone can feel safe and be themselves.

The Safe Schools Coalition has recently announced a partnership with WA AIDS Council to deliver the Safe Schools initiative in WA. You can find out more about The Safe Schools Coalition and the work they do by visiting their website.

The website also host a fantastic collection of resources for young people as well as for professionals working with young people. Many of these resources would be appropriate for any youth sector settings, not just limited to classrooms. Check out their fantastic collection of resources here.

Hey! My name is Jesse and I’m a 23 year old from Fremantle, WA. I’m finishing up my Diploma of Youth Work with North Metro TAFE, completing my last practical placement here with the YEP crew.
