Our Health, Our Way: Resources for Indigenous Young People

NSW Kids + Families have released a fantastic set of resources, Our Health, Our Way, targeting Indigenous young people aimed at helping them navigate health services and breaking down barriers to young people accessing health care and support.

The resources are suitable for any health service which engages with Indigenous young people and can also be used in health promotion and health education targeting Indigenous young people.

Our Health, Our Way resources include:

The videos were developed through extensive consultation with young people and feature their words promoting key messages on how and when to access health services.

The videos are an engaging resources that would be suitable for a variety of youth audiences and provide an easily accessible and relevant source of information on medicare cards, bulk billing and confidentiality.

Jesse Altham

Hey! My name is Jesse and I’m a 23 year old from Fremantle, WA. I’m finishing up my Diploma of Youth Work with North Metro TAFE, completing my last practical placement here with the YEP crew. I am extremely passionate about politics, advocacy and education and I’m so fortunate to be working with YEP in the space of peer education.
