An often difficult topic to discuss, the YEP Project will be covering the ins and outs of HIV/AIDS, with particular emphasis in providing best practice strategies on how to engage young people in this extremely sensitive topic.

Facilitated by YEP Crew members, Susan Theseira, Matthew Bacon and Golda Signal, come and join the YEP Project to celebrate World AIDS Day 2016!

Susan Theseira has Bachelor of Health Promotion and Nutrition from Curtin University, and is an experienced youth sexual health educator, having extensively volunteered with the WA AIDS Council (WAAC) and the Agents of YEAH (Youth Empowerment Against HIV/AIDS).

Matthew Bacon is currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Sexology at Curtin University, having previously obtained a Bachelor of Science/Health Sciences. Matt has been actively volunteering with WAAC since 2013 and is passionate about sexual health education for the empowerment of young people.

Golda Signal is an experienced sexual health youth educator and has been mentoring multicultural young people in SHBBV issues and communication techniques to negotiate safe relationships. She was part of the award winning ‘Sharing Stories’ youth sexual health program with the Metropolitan Migrant Resource Centre (MMRC), and won the 2014 YACWA Youth Award in Cultural Endeavours for her work.
