YEP at Fairground 2016

YACWA’s Fairground conference takes place every two years as an opportunity for the youth sector to network, share ideas and common experiences whilst focusing on statewide issues of importance to young people and the sector.

This year will be the fifth Fairground conference and follows similar events in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014. The conference vision is for a youth sector event that is the most topical, relevant, results-orientated youth conference ever held in Western Australia.

The conference theme is ‘Fairground’, which reflects an opportunity to encourage social inclusion through the continued development of an even playing field for young people across Western Australia.

This year, YEP & the YEP Crew will be presenting at the conference. We will be launching our new ‘YEP Video’ & the new YEP Website, as well as introducing the amazing young people that is part of the new YEP Crew! We’re very excited!!!

Hope to see you there!

Meet the team

Vanessa Vlajkovic

Hi! My name is Nessa and I’m 20 years old. I’m studying Journalism at Edith Cowan University, with a Public Relations minor. I am an avid reader, writer, traveller and cheerleader. I’m also a passionate advocate for the deafblind community, and for other types of disability. I’ve been on the committee of the Youth Disability Advocacy Network (YDAN) at YACWA for a few months, and through them have developed a desire to become a YEP volunteer, as I want to expand my horizons.
