Come and join us at our last network meeting for 2016!
2016 has been an eventful time for MYAN WA and we look forward to a fantastic final forum to finish the year.
The final meeting will consist of Shout Out speakers sharing their experience of telling their story at the recent Day of Diversity session at a local high school. During the first half of the meeting we will host a service/project speed share session and networking morning tea. This is your chance to find out about what other organisations are doing in the youth/settlement sector and what exciting and innovative initiatives are happening in this space. We would like to encourage anyone who’s interested in speaking about their service or organisation to contact us and speak at the final forum.
The second half of the meeting will involve the Youth Educating Peers team to conduct consultations with the network. Currently, the YEP Project is looking develop a training package around how to best and effectively engage with young people from the Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) community regarding all things sexual health and blood borne virus (SHBBV) issues. As such, this consultation with the MYAN WA Network will be a way for YEP to gain feedback, thoughts and ideas around what this training package should look like, and determine the relevance of this initiative within the youth and settlement sectors.
